The 9th Summer School on Medicines (SSM9) offers a unique 40-hour training program under a sponsorship in Barcelona, Spain. Make plans now for one full week of lively presentations and direct interactions with the Faculty, including case studies and Industry challenges sessions, covering the whole value chain of medicines, from idea to market.
Its main objectives are:
- To provide an in depth perspective of the drug discovery process at the beginning of the XXIst century, from basic research of disease pathways to the rational design of safe and effective molecules with appropriate drug-like properties.
- To offer an overview of drug development from proof of concept (POC) to registration.
- To introduce issues of market access documentation needs following registration, together with approaches to their early identification and integration into the overall product development plan.
The program will include an oral exposition session, where the students will have the opportunity to share with their colleagues the results of their research projects. The students participating in SSM9 will also benefit from a personalized visit to pharmaceutical company and attending the Industrial Symposium while being in one of the largest Scientific Park in Spain, a dynamic region in the fostering of innovation in biomedicine.
